Indonesia from a Single Girl's Perspective

Wow
I don't think we are in Kansas anymore Toto, and no, I will not eat you for supper (bad joke I know, but one of my Balinese drivers started it)
So everything is beautiful here, it smells like sweat and incense, I think I've found heaven. Right down to the Mango juice I just finished. I have been here for 4 nights be me wee lonesome, initially I had thought it would be three. I tell you being a single white female here, ain't easy. "Why you here alone? how old are you? you are very pretty? you are very rich" Can be quite intimidating, and bothersome. But with all do respect to the culture, and a healthy wariness, I will not live in fear.
Yesterday I drummed. With some Balinese/Javanese boys, and then all was right and one in the universe. I swear, drumming is universal, and so is the effect on the soul. After I got a tour of where they make the drums, I used an authentic (dirty) Indonesian toilet, and spent hours talking about love and spirit, you know, as life should be.
Don't worry mom Shamek arrives tonight.
Love to you all, my peeps, and to the universe. May you all drum.
